UniServices at Tāmaki

UniServices manages the University's intellectual property and is responsible for all research-based consultancy partnerships and commercialisation.

Auckland UniServices Limited is the commercial arm of The University of Auckland and is the largest research and development company of its kind in Australasia.

Tāmaki Innovation Campus is a campus specialising in postgraduate and research activity, and UniServices’ contribution to this is extremely important. Their presence on campus is very strong with a number of impressive research groups within the Health Innovation and Materials Innovation themes, including Growing Up in New Zealand and Hybrid Polymers.

With the potential for further growth identified in the areas of health and materials, a UniServices corporate office is located at the Tāmaki Innovation Campus, the first outside the City Campus. This provides the UniServices groups and others at Tāmaki easy access to support, and increases the ability to link industry with innovators and researchers more effectively.

A cluster of UniServices health research groups focused on child health has been established at Tāmaki to ensure that services are provided in a co-ordinated and efficient way benefiting all children. This fits well into the Health Innovation theme and a number of these groups have strong links to the School of Population Health.
